Long story short, this women mislead me when she sold me shoes. I tried to return them the following day. She reduced my son and myself to tears after trying to take video evidence of my child being 'happy' in the shoes, called me a liar in so many words, ignored my requests to not have her film my son. I had to shout at her to get her to put her phone away and she proceeded to throw us from her shop. Cobblers and other shoe shop owners in Ely have vouched that the shoes are unfit. I don't know how she sleeps at night. The way she conducted herself with me and my child would, if I had been her, make me think about my actions and why I treat people that way. It was so upsetting and distressing. All in all it was a horrific experience that has left me in tears, a pair of unwearable shoes (for my son's needs) and my son without shoes that fit him OH and £41 out of pocket. So distressing.

I have been going to the shoe tree for several months and have always found the woman helpful and friendly. However this was not the case on my last visit with my 16 month old little boy. I bought a Pair of boots and there should of been alarm bells ringing when he was walking funny but was told it was just because he wasn't use to boots. I trusted her and three and a half weeks later his feet are damaged as the boots were sold to small. this has been verified by 3 independent shoe fitters, i am hoping we realised quick enough and the damage can be rectified. please realise this is not about money but just having shoes that don't hurt my little boy. I went back to speak to her hoping for a different pair and instead was met by accusations of being a liar and just wanting to cause trouble. I have since cried alot as I let this woman hurt my little boy. I have since found out a number of people have also received inadequate service. PLEASE do not do the same thing and stay away!!!!!

If customer service grew on trees, it most certainly does not grow on the Shoe Tree. The proprietor of this joke of a shop sold and fitted my 9 month old daughter with a pair of shoes which immediately slipped off when we got home. We ruturned to the who today only to be told that the shoes were all handmade and impossible to fit, even after the woman had tried two different sizes on my daughter (which she denied and called my wife a liar) she then just stood there repeating that the law was on her side and she didn't do refunds. We had shopped there for all of my sons shoes but will certainly not be visiting there in future. In short unprofessional, unhelpful, untruthful avoid at all costs

ReportNot only a children's shoe shop with a fine selection of stylish and designer footwear for your children, but the service is excellent too. The shop assistant's manner was helpful during our visit and she managed to put my three-year-old daughter at ease throughout the fitting. We ended up with exactly what we needed - and for a decent price too.
