It promises to be an eclectic mix of landscape, hard-edged figuration, closely-observed natural history drawings, abstraction, and work from the figure in a range of media including drawings, linocuts, woodcuts, monoprints, watercolours, and mixed media works.
Although they all share the experience of studying at the Royal Academy Schools, one of the most prestigious art institutions in the country, these artists in fact span several generations and celebrate this in their diversity of styles and influences.
They were brought together though an initiative by past students to encourage regional groups to network and exhibit together. It is the second time the East Anglia group, who are primarily professional painters, have shown together and they will do so again later this year at Mandell's Gallery, Norwich.
