Have youe ever wanted to be a rapper? Young people will get the chance to work alongside professional MC Xidus Pain. Xidus was schooled to rap by hip-hop legends Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Melle Mel. The Art of MCing launches on Thursday September 27 and runs every Thursday for five weeks at the Cathedral Centre, Ely. Aimed at young people aged 13-19 years old, this new ADeC event is being delivered in partnership with Centre 33, with generous funding from Ely Heweward Rotary Club.

Xidus Pain is a writer, freestyler and co-producer. He is also one of the finest MCs, with an effortless flow and his wordplay and lyricism have been compared to the likes of Vinnie Paz. Throughout the project the young people will work alongside Xidus to explore the art of MCing and he will help them improve their songwriting, master different styles and record their own work.
