I've been trying to buy a house in Ely for several months but every time we go and view a property, it's sold almost as quickly as it's been listed. Is this a sign of an improvement in the housing market or a shortage of houses in Ely? Has anyone else been having a similar problem?

I went to look at a house just off Merlin Drive on the day it came on the market. By the end of the day it was gone!?
