The news that a boutique hotel is to be built in Ely is just what the city wants to hear. Apparently social housing provider Sanctuary Hereward is planning to sell its offices in St Mary's Street to a developer who plans to turn them into a hotel, while Sanctuary Hereward intend to move to the District Council's offices at The Grange. I'm always struggling to find places to recommend when friends and family come to Ely for parties. Is this another sign that Ely is going up in the world? What do other people think?
