Peacocks is reportedly on the brink of administration after crisis talks with its lenders. The fashion chain, which has a store in the Cloisters in Ely, has been struggling despite an improved Christmas performance.

It would be shocking of we lost Peacocks in Ely. Its a well stocked and reasonably priced store and it always seems to be quite busy. One by one we're losing all our key shops in Ely - Woolworths, Curry's, Peacocks. They're all going!
