East Cambridgeshire residents are being urged to look out for distinctive jewellery that was stolen during a burglary in Soham.

The victims discovered their home in East Fen Common had been ransacked last month. Burglars stole a large amount of jewellery including a number of distinctive items, including:

  • Gold charm bracelet with 20 charms including an Aladdin's lamp, church with a bride and groom inside, a bible containing the Lord's Prayer and a ballerina
  • Gold square-faced Rotary watch
  • Three gold platted flat necklace
  • 18ct gold diamond cluster ring
  • A spring-loaded sovereign holder with a hinged front
PC Mark Beaven, investigating, said: "Some of the jewellery is 50 years old and many of the items hold huge sentimental value to the victims. They are desperate for the property to be returned and I would urge anyone with any information to call police."

Anyone with any information should call PC Beaven on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
