Optician Thefts – CCTV Images Released

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a string of thefts from opticians in Ely and Chatteris.

Officers want to trace the man after designer spectacles with a total value of about £5,000 were taken from three opticians.

Three pairs were taken from Spectacular opticians in the High Street, Ely, on September 18. The following day 13 pairs were found to be missing from Spectacular opticians in the High Street, Chatteris, and a further three were taken from nearby Selby and Taylor.

PCSO Martin Bogunovic, investigating, said: "We are keen to speak to the man captured on CCTV as we believe he may have vital information that could assist our investigation."
