The flame burns on the Olympic Stage on Parker's Piece in Cambridge
Former Olympic silver medalist Iwan Thomas ran the last leg of Cambridge's Torch Relay, carrying the flame across Parker's Piece and arriving at the Olympic Stage just before 7pm. Large crowds turned out to cheer it on, but for just a fleeting glimpse was the experience worth it?
Did you enjoy seeing the Olympic Torch or did the wet and muddy conditions dampen your enthusiasm? Have you been more interested in Andy Murray than the forthcoming Olympics? Were you disappointed that it didn't come to Ely? Share your thoughts with a comment below...

I'm disappointed that the Olympic Torch didn't come to Ely - considering it visited towns like Haverhill and Newmarket, I think Ely offered a much better setting. The flame passing Ely Cathedral would have made a magical and inspiring image.

ReportIt was an awful lot of waiting for just a ten second glimpse - but, on balance, three hours standing in a muddy park was well worth a moment of history, however brief. I had planned to stay around for the rest of the evening's entertainment but after seeing the flame I was ready to fight my way back onto the park and ride bus!
