MEP Richard Howitt Gets Hairy

The East of England MEP Richard Howitt did his bit for charity in Ely this week, donning a wig along with volunteers at the Sue Ryder shop – all in order to help publicise the organisation's 'Febru-Hairy' fundraiser.

Sue Ryder, a charitable organisation providing compassionate care to people with long term and end of life needs, are aiming to raise £23,000 across the East of England this month with a hair-tastic fundraising drive. People all over the region – and all over the country – will be getting involved in hair-raising stunts, such as shaving off their locks or wearing a wig for the day.

So why not get sponsored to grow your hair, dye your hair or shave it all off. You could also organise a collection wearing wigs. Just get involved to help Sue Ryder raise money for their hospices and residential care centres - you know it's a good cause.
