The annual Rave In The Nave returns to Ely Cathedral on Friday for an event that will see the ancient building transformed into a thrilling live venue pulsing with light and sound.

Now in its 20th year in Ely, Rave In The Nave is a Christian club night aimed at giving young people the chance to invite their non-Christian friends to a church event that offers worship and fellowship in a fun atmosphere that is a bit more relevant to their age and culture than the usual events at Ely Cathedral.

This year's ravers can expect to see Christian bands Empire Nation, Brought Into Being and Broken For, plus deejays on the main stage. Other attractions include an eliminator bungee run, mechanical rodeo bull rides, a giant pillow fight, rowing machine races, a giant barbecue and circus skills workshops. There will also be three giant screens and ravers will be able to send their own text messages to the big screens.

The Rave In The Nave is organised by all of the major Christian denominations and Christian youth organisations.

Rave In The Nave takes place at Ely Cathedral on Friday July 13, 2012 (7.15pm-12am). Tickets are available on the night of from the Rave In The Nave website
